I don't know if anyone knows this, but I have a somewhat dramatic personality. You're shocked to find this out, aren't you? It's true, though.
You can imagine the internal dramatics that kicked in when Madeline woke James and I up at 3:00 am to tell us that Isabella was throwing up. The drama then returned at 6:45 when I went to wake Madeline up for school and she started throwing up, too. All of this was after the decidely external dramatics that occurred last night when we discovered that Madeline has lost her $250 retainer.
In other words, I'm drama-d out.
Thankfully, I don't have school today or tomorrow. (The preschool follows a different school system's calendar than the calendar the girls' school system follows.) I'm going to spend the whole day thinking positively. The girls don't have a stomach virus- they are simply exhausted from all of the 'fast living' of the past week and weekend!
Now I'm off to coat every surface in our house with a layer of Lysol.

Thank goodness they are old enough to find the bathroom/bowl to do their business.
Hope everyone is well soon!
I can definitely appreciate what mom's do and go through. While we haven't had many episodes like that one yet, Katheryn has had her share of drama moments and it can be overwhelming while it's happening. Thank goodness for the positive times to help our short-term memories.
There are/will be times in a parents life that you may feel as though you could choke the life out of your child and feel justified. Case in point...one night I awoke with Corey puking all over my backside when he was somewhere around five years old. He had left his bedroom, passed his bathroom, walked through another room into our bedroom just to tell me he wasn't feeling well and thought he was going to be sick. And, he was - all over my back. I cleaned him up, I had to shower and had to change the sheets after cleaning the bed.
He went back to his room to go to sleep and I went back to sleep. Sometime later, the entire scene repeated itself! After doing total cleanups again, I looked Corey in the eye and made sure that he knew in no uncertain terms, that he was to NEVER EVER come tell me EVER NEVER again that he was going to be sick like that again. I never mentioned that his life might be in deep peril if he did so, but somehow he got the message as he NEVER EVER did again.
BTW - The Mamas and Papas. That was during my teenage growing up time.
