School started for the girlies on August 13th. I'll come right out and say it- I'd been dreading the since the first day of school LAST year. Madeline started middle school this year, which also meant getting a new bus. In Lee Co, Pre-K through 5th grade students ride one bus and the middle school and high school kids ride a different bus. Talk about nerve wracking for *me*! Of course, Madeline has handled it fine, and Isabella is thrilled to finally be the oldest on her bus. I won't lie- I'll be so happy when they are back together next year.
We've settled into the school year nicely after a bit of a rocky start (adjusting to randomly wierd middle school rules and schedules), but of course the real test begins next Monday, when preschool starts for me.

They look so stylish with the Vera Bradley bags!!! I'm not to hip on the Middle School either... Andrew is loving it! Hopefully Madeline is too.
She's adjusting. She was excited until she found out none of her BFF's are on her "team", but then she got excited again when she saw some of the stuff her team was going to do, then she had a bad run-in with one of her team teachers.
In her school shorts have to be to the finger tips but skirts have to go to the knee. Well, she was wearing a skirt past her fingertips but not quite to her knee. The teacher called her out in front of the class, sent her to the office and I had to bring her new clothes. And this was first thing in the morning on the 3rd day of school!
She was more embarrassed than anything, which totally sucks at that age especially. But she really likes her other teachers, and she's getting to know some casual friends better, so I know she'll be fine.
Me? Well, I'll probably be fine, too. Eventually. ;)
You have done a great job raising these two beautiful girls.... They look so grown up and confident. I am having a hard time believing they are as "old" as they are! Hug and kiss them for me... please !
