1. Two weeks of school left! Hallelujah! Our preschool graduation was last week, and while it was great and I cried my eyeballs out (as I do every year) I am SO GLAD it is over and done with. Bring on summer vacation! (Yes, it's alittle weird to have graduation three weeks before school is actually over with. But it gets it out of the way, and we can just do fun things the last few weeks.)

2. Both Madeline and Isabella were in the top ten AR readers for their grade, which meant they got to go on the reward trip this week! This year's reward was a movie (Earth or Hannah Montana, both of which they'd already seen), lunch at the Mellow Mushroom and the bowling. Bella chose to see Earth, but Madeline chose to see Hannah Montana because, as she put it, she "couldn't watch those animals die again". Heh. They were very excited for the trip, and we were VERY proud of them!

3. When my friend Adriana was here, these little babies in Target. I bought two packs, and we promptly inhaled one of them. They are SO GOOD!! I went back a few days later and bought three more packs (leaving two on the shelf. Can I tell you how much I am regretting that??). Then I came across this website as I was searching online for a source to buy some more. I am so sad they were only available for a limited amount of time, as they became our family's favorite cookie. I just ate the last one today (after hiding it from the rest of the family :P) and now I'm despondent and desolate. You Aussies are SO LUCKY!!!

4. Did I mention there are only two more weeks of school left?? But why am I already thinking of *next year*?? I guess that's the curse of being a Type A control freak. ;) Actually, I know why I'm already thinking about next year. It's because I already know who some of my kids will be, and I know some of them are going to be a challenge to teach! I would say I've already started praying for patience, but you know what happens when you make that mistake. So let's just say I'm gearing up mentally and thinking of things I can do better to make next school year a great year. ;)

5. Now I leave with this picture, as proof that I can overcome my crazy, anti-social-like tendencies! It's me! Out of the house! On a school night! Past 8:00 pm! ;)

Do you remember Richard Price - Jason's best bud? He served his mission in Australia and still recounts the goodness of Tim Tam Slams.
Brag Alert: Even though Emma is only in Kindergarten, her teacher recognized her reading ablity and put her on the AR computer to test her. At last check, she is a 2.7! She won the AR medal for her class the first nine weeks of school (you can only win once)
Great for your girls! I can't wait for Emma to be able to read some longer books like the magic Treehouse series.
Congrats on getting out - I know the hold the house has.

So I think our Target has those cookies. Here is the plan. Im coming to GA from the 2nd-17th of June with a total of 4 days planned for Tifton. If we have some locally I'll pick some up and bring some your way, sound good?

Erin- Yes, I remember Richard! Tim Tams are so good- you never forget them! Hee. That's awesome about Emma's reading. I have mixed feelings about the AR program in general, but I think overall it's a good tool to help get kids in the habit of reading, which often leads to a love of reading.

Gawdun- Ooh, yes please!! That would be fabulous!! It'll be great to see you next month. Wait- which four days will you be in Tifton? We'll be at the beach the 7th-9th.

Mom- You're sweet. But seriously, these cookies are amazingly tasty.
